A little about me:

Hi, I’m Aly—the heart behind Wild Winds Photography. I’m a portrait photographer based in
Lubbock, Texas.

My journey began in a college darkroom with a hand-me-down Canon AE-7 and a black-and-white photography class I took “just for fun.” I quickly fell in love with storytelling through images and the magic of transforming everyday moments into lasting memories..

Portraits became my passion after a friend asked if I could take photos of her and her kids. As a single mom, she couldn’t afford professional photography and only had school pictures—nothing of her with them. That first session changed everything for me.

And here’s the part that still gives me chills:
Since that day, I’ve photographed her son’s senior photos, her daughter’s senior photos, and even her daughter’s maternity session. Watching their family grow through my lens has been one of the greatest honors of my career.

Wild Winds Photography was built on that kind of connection—capturing real families, real milestones, and real moments you’ll treasure for years to come. My style continues to evolve, but my heart remains the same: to preserve memories with warmth, authenticity, and artistry.

I’m so glad you’re here. Take your time exploring my work, and when you’re ready, I’d love to help you capture the moments that matter most.
